The council tabled the surplus-property option Oct. 6 after Ward 1’s Ashby Foote questioned the price. A state lawmaker pressed the deal Monday, and the land sits in the Pearl’s floodplain.
The Wire searched the Hinds County index for Trustmark Bank, Blue Owl, Owl and RCAF Acquisition Trust. No branch conveyance appears. The purchase agreement says the buyer may take title through entities it designates.
